Women Int'l Day 2006 – Pakistan

Dear Friends,

With the rest of the world "Women Int'l Day 2006" was observed in this remote part of southern Pakistan's rural area Sanghar. Under the theme of "Women in Decision Making; Inclusion of Women With Disabilities". Same time also held Women Discussion forum. Two separate programs. In both programs discussed on Women issues and special sessions held on issues of Women With Disabilities (WWDs). Morning program was a seminar where speakers talk on the theme then in the after noon another program was discussion among women themselves. It was emphasized on organizations of Women that they include WWDs in their programs. Because WWDs are facing double discrimination. It was committed that cases of injustice and torture against WWDs will also be sorted out, such cases are not reported because WWDs are invisible community.
